With the Canon PIXMA G3670 (Black) and PIXMA G3675 (White), the manufacturer is renewing the multifunction printer series with megatank, which is intended for use at home and in the home office. The highlight is the small display, which makes everyday processes much easier. However, the panel cannot be folded, so the viewing angles on display are not always ideal in the test. At the same time, the presence of the little screen simplifies the actions on the device significantly, even if the LCD is not touch-enabled, but rather controlled via buttons. With a paper feed for a maximum of 100 sheets – that’s rather meagre for a megatank device. As with its predecessor, the feed is located at the rear of the housing and increases the space requirement in height because it has to be folded out for the operation. As usual, the printer can only do duplex printing manually, but with precise instructions in the driver. Printing on normal paper in standard resolution works comparatively quickly, as 10 pages of text in 58 seconds—the operating noise when printing is comparatively high. Extensive print jobs are also followed by comprehensive nozzle rinsing cycles. Text prints have good but not excessive black coverage, the letters are easily legible. With colour prints, high coverage is noticeable even in the standard resolution. the Canon Pixma G3670/G3675 is now equipped with dual-band WiFi and can therefore be connected to both 2.4 and 5 GHz WiFi frequency bands. In addition, it has the usual USB 2.0 interface as a local connection. If you also want to print and scan from your mobile device, this series is a good choice, as the tank multifunction printer supports the Apple AirPrint and Mopria standards as well as the manufacturer app.
